Veterans' Wall Critieria
The Veterans Wall in Legacy Park includes all Houston County Veterans from The American Revolution through the Korean War and will also include a Peacetime wall and the KIA for Vietnam.
** The Vietnam War or successive conflicts cannot be included because the National Archives has not released the names of those veterans. The records of veterans must be kept private for 62 years following the end of the conflict.
The criteria used for inclusion include:
1) The veteran must be born in Houston County
Or
2) The veteran must be living in Houston County at the time of enlistment
It is our hope that every individual who has an interest in the wall would contribute. When investment is made, ownership is felt, and the project becomes a community endeavor.
Volunteers

Education Programs
Lead or assist with school field trip programs. Training provided.
Special Events
Be part of our special events by helping with set-up, greeting our guests, or serving.
Archives Volunteer
Assist with one of our archival projects such as researching old newspapers or transcribing documents.

The Perry Historical Museum welcomes contributions of documents, photographs, and objects for its permanent collection.
Donations of items to the Museum, a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization, are tax deductible as allowed by law. In compliance with the Internal Revenue Service, Museum staff cannot appraise donations for tax purposes.
Please consider donating your historic documents, photographs, and objects to the Perry Historical Museum where they can be preserved and used to educate others in the future.

These steel crosses are being placed in Evergreen Cemetery as memorials to replace the wooden crosses which are in disrepair. Community support is needed for this project.
