This home was built in 1903 for J. Henry King by Sam Houser at a cost of $900. The King sisters, Mrs. Clara D. Newton and Mrs. Camilla H. Carson, owned the home until 1948, when it was purchased by C. C. Chapman, Houston County’s Sheriff for thirty-eight years.
